I wanted to try a little experiment. While cleaning out a drawer of supplies I dug up a pile of metallic cardboard. I got this cardboard from Blair Collins – middle school art teacher, my art teacher in
middle school, and my friend. We didn’t know the purpose of this shiny, slick cardboard, so she let me have some when I helped teach her class in 2008. I tried using permanent ink on it but the effect
wasn’t impressive. When the cardboard was rediscovered, one thing shot into my mind – what would happen if I paint on it? I was pleased with the result. With every angle, and different light sources,
the shiny colors change. I’ve seen every color in the rainbow reflected off its surface. The photo doesn’t do the neat effect justice.

Note: the angled images to the sides of this artwork are to show the reflectiveness of the metallic surface. No matter the angle, the surface stays shiny as metal.

All three are sold except the original Silver Strings.
