"You Can Dance if you Want to"
8.5x11" acrylic on wood
(C) Cara Bevan 2014
You may be poor and penniless, but atleast you have passion for something.

This painting was originally my take on the Looney Toons dancing frog, except as a toad. And forget fancy,
I'm feeling poor so this guy is dancing despite himself with what he can find. A burger toothpick, a bottle cap,
and an old cardboard box...but that's okay, he's happy just dancing.

Just painting this random thing inspired a little story in my head.

I really want to illustrate children's books. I prefer realism like this but I'm working on developing more styles I
like. Although I like painting animals, it doesn't excite me the way light fantasy does.
